Stage manager. Administrator. Educator.
Hi, I’m Margot (they/them), an NYC native and graduate of Le Moyne College (MS in arts administration) living upstate with my husband and two cats. I have an extensive background in theatre, and strive to create environments that are compassionate and caring while remaining professional and efficient.
Though based in Syracuse, my work has taken me to regional theatre in Ithaca, New York and well respected collegiate institutes, like Hamilton College. Wherever I am, I ensure that I am bringing a calm, centered, and constructive atmosphere to my cast and crew.
SPECIALIZATIONS
My experience in theatre has ranged from planning curriculum, to planning scenic transitions, to planning mainstage marketing. Each of these areas is highlighted in the following categories.
STAGE MANAGEMENT
After seven years in the CNY regional theatre industry, I have grown into my stage management role with a calm and supportive grace. Each show, no matter its size or scale, gets the same level of detail and intent put into every step of the process.
ARTS ADMIN
Thanks to my Masters in Science in Arts Administration, I know not only how to make a production run smoothly, but I know what it takes to make an entire company run smoothly. My field work provided me the perfect context in order to create tailored materials for multiple theatre organizations.
EDUCATION
From writing curriculum to be used by over twenty teaching fellows, to managing and running my own week long, eight hour a day camp classes, my education portfolio showcases how I can bring a bit of fun to each step of the process.
